Hi, my name is Tim Huppler, Licensed Massage Therapist, and marathon runner. I am 50 years old and have been running for just over 6 years. The one thing running has done for me is to let me remain an athlete as I grow older.

I have completed 6 marathons to date, Disney and Jacksonville in 2005, Boston and Chicago in 2006, Fox Cities(Appleton, WI) in 2007, and Boston in 2008, with a PR of 3:27:05 at Chicago. My next marathon is this October (2008) in Kelowna, BC Canada with my older sister Amy for her first marathon, and if everything goes as planned I will also run the Space Coast in Nov. 2008, Tampa in March 2009 and Green Bay in May of 2009. So you can see, I am originally from WI and I want to run through Lambeau Field at the end of Green Bay. This is a fairly aggressive schedule and hope the old body can hold out.

I became a massage therapist after I started running because a therapist got me back out running after after a injury that required surgery, much faster than even the Doctor said I would be able to. When that happened to me, I knew I wanted to be able to help not just athletes but anybody that incurs an injury. I have recieved advanced training in Sports Massage, and Neuromuscular Therapy, which is the care of soft tissue pain and dysfunction.

I am going to be adding articles to this site about the benefits of massage and why you should add massage to your training schedule, stretching and to give you insight into injuries common to runners and tri-athletes.
So check back often and if you are interested in scheduling a massage or have questions about massage give me a call. Happy Training!!!
